Product Information and Warranty
TUMI
TUMI offers a limited warranty valid for five (5) years after purchasing products from the travel or business collections, or two (2) years for accessories such as wallets, purchased from an official TUMI store or authorised retailer.
Year one: total protection
During the first 12 months of ownership, TUMI covers all repair expenses including shipping costs to the repair centre. This includes damage caused by normal wear and airline handling. If the product is deemed irreparable, it will be replaced with an identical or comparable product.
Year two through five: manufacturing defects and normal wear
TUMI will repair any product damaged through normal wear or defective in materials and workmanship, including structural defects such as zips and locks. From year two onwards, damage caused by airlines or other carriers is not covered.
Not covered by warranty
- Damage resulting from misuse or abuse
- Aesthetic damage such as scratched leather or stained fabrics
- Damage to or loss of bag contents
Proof of purchase
A valid purchase receipt is required to activate the warranty. We recommend registering your product with the TUMI Tracer® programme, which stores your purchase date in the TUMI system.
Secrid
Every Secrid product comes with a standard two-year warranty. This warranty can be extended to three years by registering your wallet on the official Secrid website. Premium line wallets come with a four-year warranty, which can be extended to five years upon product registration.
Bric's
Bric's products are rigorously tested to meet stringent quality standards. In the event of a manufacturing defect, Bric's will repair or replace the product in accordance with applicable law and Bric's warranty terms and conditions.
Warranty periods
- Lifetime warranty on wheeled products (spinners, rolling duffles) on selected collections
- 5-year warranty on travel or office items without wheels (duffles, garment sleeves, business backpacks, briefcases)
- 2-year warranty on items such as handbags, shoulder bags, casual backpacks, wallets and accessories
What is not covered
Bric's warranty does not cover deterioration due to use, damage caused by improper use, heat exposure, contact with acids or solvents, water infiltration, or damage caused by airline carriers. Improper or unauthorised repairs void the warranty.
Making a warranty claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact the retailer where the product was originally purchased or Bric's Customer Service directly. The warranty is only valid with proof of purchase (store receipt or online order confirmation) and only for products purchased from an authorised Bric's retailer.
Piquadro
Piquadro offers private customers a 24-month warranty covering material and/or manufacturing defects. This warranty can be extended to 36 months by registering with the Piquadro Club, available online at www.piquadro.com in the My Piquadro section. Some products in the travel category carry an extended 5-year warranty, identified in the product description.
What is not covered
The warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, accidents, abrasion, water, solvents, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by carriers. It also does not cover accidental damage such as breakage or loss of bag contents.
Out-of-warranty repairs
If the product is not under warranty, repairs can still be made for a fee, provided the replacement part is available. Piquadro will send a cost estimate for approval before starting any work.
Repair timeframe
Warranty repairs take approximately 40 days from when Piquadro receives the item. Out-of-warranty repairs begin only after written approval of the estimate is received.
Victorinox
Victorinox Travel Gear products identified with the "1+10" label benefit from the 1+10 warranty programme: one year of total protection followed by 10 years of coverage for manufacturing defects — 11 years in total.
Year one: total protection
During the first year, the warranty covers damage caused by normal wear, airline handling, and other transit damage. Shipping costs to the repair centre in year one are covered by the distributor.
Year two through eleven: manufacturing defects
Coverage from year two to year eleven applies to material and manufacturing defects. Damage caused by airline carriers during this period is not covered and must be claimed directly with the carrier.
General conditions
- Repair at no charge to the customer for all covered periods
- Return shipping from the repair centre covered by the distributor
- Proof of purchase required
- Warranty valid only for products purchased from authorised Victorinox retailers
- Does not apply to cosmetic damage or loss of or damage to contents
Porsche Design
Porsche Design assumes liability only for damages resulting from breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to damages that were typically foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded.
Exceptions to the limitation of liability
The limitation of liability does not apply in the following cases:
- Personal injury caused by fault
- Damage arising from fraudulently concealed defects
- Damage based on the absence of a guaranteed characteristic
- Damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence
- Liability under applicable product liability law
In all other cases, the applicable statutory provisions apply.
